What is a Smartphone Photo Experience?
It is Lekanne Photography's philosophy that every woman, every person, and even every dog should have access to a photo shoot! Because creating memories is important; celebrating this moment in time is precious and important. We also understand that our professional photo packages might not be financially feasible for everyone. That's why we invented our Smartphone Photo Experiences: a fun and affordable way to get GREAT pictures and videos with your own smartphone! We're currently offering these for Flying Dress, Dog Photography (the Pupparazzi Smartphone Experience), and Light Painting. Coming soon: Smartphone Forced Perspective experience!
How does it work?
This is a group event. For most events we'll need a minimum of 5 participants and a max of 9-10 participant. This may vary by event. You can join a group event as an individual or gather friends or family and create your own private group and reach out to us for an event date and place. Each Photo Experience starts with a short workshop on how to take better pics with your smartphone. Whether iPhone, Android, Samsung, Google or other phone, we'll cover it all. With your new learned skills, you'll be able to take better pictures for years to come in any and all situations with any phone. You'll receive a take-home guide so you can read it over and refer back when you need to.
After instruction we break up in small groups where (in the case of the Flying Dress Experience), you'll rotate being the model, the photographer and the dress floofer. In the case of the Pupparazzi Experience, you'll rotate being the photographer, the dog handler and the attention grabber. Don't worry, we'll guide you thru every step of the way and we will also take our own pictures and videos which we'll share with you afterwards. It really is so much fun! You finish your glamorous Flying Dress shoot with, what we'd like to call, your "Fabulosity Moment", where you'll walk fabulously in ultra slow motion video. Your fabulosity moment will be filmed by your photographer, Marilou Lekanne. For the Pupparazzi, you'll receive either a slow-mo of the dog running towards you, jumping, or catching a treat (breed and space dependent). We'd like to call this the "Ultra-Dog Moment". All images taken will be directly shared with you and we even help you with the phone editing of your own pics if so desired.
What's included for this low, low price?
- Instruction and hands-on workshop on how to take better pics with your Smartphone;

- use of different light sources in all shapes and colors (light painting);
- use of all needed props like toys, skateboards, household items, etc. and phone tripods (forced perspective experience);
- professional photo guidance on posing and picture taking angles;
- help with phone editing;
- presence and guidance from 1 professional photographer (all experiences) plus 1 assistant (Flying Dress and Paparazzi);
- digital transfer of all phone pics & vids taken by photographer Marilou Lekanne
After the event, you'll walk away with dozens of fantastic pictures and videos that you wouldn't even have dreamed of taking! Pictures you may cherish, share and even print as you'd like.
